CUTLINE ONLY

BIRD, LITTLE DUDE

The first warm days of spring bring everyone out to enjoy and explore their environment. At left, Jack Adams, 18 months, climbs on the playground equipment at Riverbank Park in Westbrook Thursday afternoon under the watchful eye of his mother, Helene Adams of Gorham. Above, a killdeer pauses by a small pond off Bartlett Road at the Gorham Industrial Park on Tuesday. Technically in the family of shorebirds, killdeer often nest in gravel and live far from water.
