BATH — Mackenzie Johnston tallied a game-high 10 points to lead the Bath Middle School eighth-grade girls basketball team to a 33-15 victory over Oxford Hills on Thursday.
The Destroyers led 4-2, 13-6 and 21-13 at the quarter breaks.
Sierra Wallace chipped in six points, and Emma Gould, Madeline Mitchell and Marissa Parks added four points apiece.
Emily Corbett paced the Vikings with eight points, with Maighread Laliberte adding five.
“We played a real intense fullcourt man-to-man defense with traps, and that caused several turnovers,” said Morse coach Will Laffely, whose Destroyers host Tripp on Wednesday.
Bath was 1-of-7 at the foul line, while Oxford Hills finished 1-for-11 from the charity stripe.
