Dear Westbrook community,

Westbrook’s Underage Drinking Workgroup, a part of the Westbrook Community Prevention Coalition, recently held a Bingo Night at Westbrook High School for any high schooler interested in having a fun, substance-free night and the possibility to win some great prizes. The event was a great success, with nearly 50 attendees and six chaperones in attendance.

This fabulous night would not have been possible without the great coordination of Mike Cook and his wife Laura. Mike worked hard at getting dozens of prizes donated from local business, including a great amount of food. We would like to thank Subway, which donated a 6-foot sub; Coca-Cola, which donated the drinks for the night; Corsetti’s, on Route 302, which donated four large pizzas; Panera Bread, whick donated all remaining desserts once they had closed, and turned out to be quite a bit of food; Desmond & Rand, which donated $100 to purchase gifts; and J & M Inc., which also donated $100 to purchase gifts.

Thank you again to all of these businesses and organization for their donations, which helped some of Westbrook’s youth enjoy a fun, safe night.
