The Westbrook American reported on Sept. 19, 1962, that Ella Clark of West Buxton had been named the news correspondent for Buxton and Hollis. Clark replaced Marguerite Vail, who had resigned for health reasons.
Martha Lachance and Gwen Ray of Gorham were enrolled at Gorham State Teachers College. Both had graduated Gorham High School in June 1962.
