The Westbrook American reported on Oct. 3, 1962, that Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lamb of Hurricane Road had observed their 47th wedding anniversary on Sept. 25.

A missionary, Edith Townsend of West Buxton, had been home on furlough for a year from the China Islands in the Philippines. She flew to California to visit Ruth Haley and two daughters, formerly of West Buxton.
