For the past three months, the Sappi Fine Paper mill in Westbrook has been under new management.

Since March, Donna Cassese, who has been employed by the company for 31 years, has been serving as mill manager. Most recently, Cassese was working as director of inside sales out of the company’s South Portland office. Originally from Bronx, N.Y., she lives in Skowhegan.

Cassese, 54, earned a bachelor of science degree in forestry from the University of Maine in 1976. Jobs she has held at Sappi include forester, jar manager, woodyard manager, fiber manager and plant manager in Allentown, Pa. As mill manager in Westbrook, she oversees about 335 employees.
