Julian Denbow owned and operated the Cumberland Mills Esso

Station, 307 Main St., when the photo on the left was taken.

In 1966, Thomas Flaherty of Portland purchased the building to expand his cleaning business and establish a car wash.

The present building has been expanded and remodeled several times and is still owned and operated by the Flaherty family.
