A 24-year-old Westbrook woman has been charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child at a North Yarmouth day care where she worked.
Authorities say Meggan Lyn Loker was arrested after another staff member at Caring Place Day care Facility reported the assault on May 15, to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, which conducted an investigation into the incident.
According to authorities, Loker was fired from her job and the Department of Health and Human Services has been notified of the alleged assault to a 6-month-old boy. She is currently out on $5,000 bail, pending a July 15 court appearance.
