EASLEY, S.C. — Ann Marie Pfluger LaCasse, of 205 Old Stagecoach Road, formerly of Brunswick, Maine, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, May 14, 2013, at The Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, S.C.

Born in Pottsville, Pa., she was the widow of the late Maurice A. LaCasse and a daughter of the late August “Happy” and Amelia D. Rossi Pfluger. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She served our country during WWII in the Women’s Army Corp. She was a communicant of St. John’s the Baptist Church in Brunswick and a member of The Third Order of Mary. She worked for Health-Tex and The Harriet Beecher Stowe House. She loved sewing, line dancing and singing.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary Anne Cain (Phillip) of Easley, Joanne Theresa Pardis (Larry) of Topsham, Maine, and Laura Anne Bowen (Terry) of Easley; a son, David LaCasse of Liberty; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren;1 great-great-grandchild; her beloved dog, Happy; a brother in-law, Herbert Shay of Pottsville, Pa.: and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by 2 sisters; 3 brothers and a daughter-in-law, Elaine Rose LaCasse.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
