Re: Daniel Lycan’s letter, “Noting Beem’s Obama reality check,” Edgar Allen Beem writes an opinion column for The Forecaster. He is not acting as a “reporter.” He is under no obligation to present your “side” of an issue, or even to provide “balance.”

A commentator does not have a “constitutional duty to present the facts in a non-partisan manner.” And I certainly hope that he has not joined your, or anyone else’s, “team.”

I wish that President Obama were more perfect, but I am surely glad that we have him as our leader, rather than any one of the alternatives who were on the ballot.
