Born on July 2, 1938 in Bath, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Guy E. and Helen C. Patterson.
Marcia graduated from Brunswick High School. Marcia earned her master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine. Retired since 1999 from AT&T/Lucent/Alcatel.
She has resided the majority of her life in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
She was survived by brother Barry Patterson and wife Nancy of Lisbon Falls, ME, daughter Kathleen Miniutti of Manchester, NH, daughter Deborah Franquiz and her husband Al and granddaughter Alexi of Atkinson, NH, son Chris Lathrop and fiancée Jennifer Marchand of Hooksett, NH, BFF Beverly Royal of Boothbay Harbor, ME, niece, nephews, numerous cousins and friends.
Marcia remained devoted to her birthplace of the state of Maine. She would often reminisce about her memories of family and friends in Maine. Her cousins and friends recently reminisced of the get-togethers Marcia had when they were growing up at “The Farm.” Marcia was an avid Boston sports fan but her favorite sports team was the Boston Bruins. Marcia had a lot of varied interests but one of her favorite activities was getting her nails and hair done with her good friend Corrine and spending hours on the phone with Beverly. She had many life-long friends as she made those friends easily. She supported many charities but her passion was animal rights.
Services will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at First Parish Church at the corners of Maine St – Bath Rd – Cleaveland St – Noble St. in Brunswick, Maine 03106 (207)- 729-7331.
