SANFORD — Alberta R. DeMattia, 81, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Greenwood Nursing Home in Sanford.
She was born in Bourne, Mass. on Jan. 29, 1933, a daughter of the late Homer and Marguerite Murray.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Alfred DeMattia Sr.; sisters, Joan Vigue and Margie Hurley; and brother, Homer Murray.
She is survived by: her children, Steven G. Bruno of Springvale, Alfred “Chip” DeMattia Jr. of Sanford, Mark DeMattia of Shapleigh, Sandra Greico and Donna Gargiulo, both of Massachusetts; brothers, Gerald Murray, David Murray, Al Murray and Pat Nardo; as well as many grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford. Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale. Condolences may be expressed at www.blackfuneralhomes.com.
