BRUNSWICK — Josephine M. Brancato, 95, a resident of Pejepscot Terrace in Brunswick, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick after a long life.
She was born on Jan. 2, 1919, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of Gaetano and Agnes (Serpentino) Pannone. She was educated in Brooklyn schools. She met and married Vito Brancato in New York and together they raised their family, moving to Maine in 1989. Vito predeceased her on April 1, 1990.
Josephine was a member of Maine Street Baptist Church in Brunswick.
Her loving family includes two sons, Michael Brancato of Staten Island, NY, Vito Brancato of Ithaca, NY, three daughters, Rose Cotrone of Lady Lake, FL, Barbara Scorcia of Boothbay, ME, Maria Brancato Caldwell of Brunswick, ME, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. Interment will be held at Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Brackett Funeral Home in Brunswick.
