Bosh undergoes tests in area of lungs

MIAMI (AP) — Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat underwent testing at a hospital to assess a medical issue related to the area around his lungs, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press.

Bosh and the team were expecting to have a better grasp of the situation Friday, said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because neither the player nor the team had disclosed any specifics publicly.

It was unclear if Bosh was admitted to the hospital, or simply underwent testing.

Raiders, Chargers talk shared LA stadium

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers are planning a shared stadium in the Los Angeles area if both teams fail to get new stadium deals in their current hometowns, the teams said in a joint statement, adding another layer of complexity to a possible NFL return to the region.

The proposed $1.7-billion stadium would be in Carson, 15 miles south of downtown Los Angeles and home to the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team.

The statement says the teams have tried and failed for years to find stadium solutions in Oakland and San Diego, and without new agreements in those cities their hands will be forced.

Maine, Clemson baseball series moved

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson is moving its weekend baseball series with Maine out of state because groundskeepers say the field at Doug Kingsmore Stadium is frozen and unplayable.

Clemson officials announced the series will open Friday with a doubleheader Saturday at Olmstead Stadium in Augusta, Georgia ”“ home of the minor league Augusta GreenJackets.
