The Richmond girls’ basketball team kept their season alive Friday, topping No. 9 Vinalhaven, 35-28, to advance to Saturday’s Western D championship game.

The Bobcats were led by Sydney Tilton’s double-double — 11 points and 14 rebounds — and now stand at 14-6 on the season. Next up for Richmond is a matchup with the undefeated No. 2 seed, Rangeley (19-0), a 39-35 victor over No. 6 Searsport earlier Friday morning.

The Western D championship game will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center.
