POULTNEY, Vt. — The North Atlantic Conference released its 2015 men’s lacrosse All-Conference teams on Wednesday. Green Mountain College junior midfielder and two-year captain Nick Parsons of Harpswell was named to the second team.
The award for Parsons is icing on the cake for the Eagles after their historic run within NAC play this season, posting a program best for wins in a season and making their first-ever postseason appearance.
This year’s honor marks the secondconsecutive year in which Parsons has earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team. He has established himself as a critical cog in the Eagles ability to control play in the midfield. His 12 assists this season ranks first all-time in the period that GMC has been a part of the NAC.
Within conference play, Parsons ranked third in the NAC in groundballs (67), and ranked just outside the top-10 in assists with nine. He led the Eagles in groundballs and assists, and ranked second on the team in goals (17) and points (32).
Parsons joins former GMC lacrosse standouts Matt Tarricone and Max Talsky as the only GMC midfielders to earn NAC All-Conference recognition since the college joined the conference in 2009.
