NEWTON, Mass. — Former Freeport High School standout had 22 points as the Bates College women’s basketball team rolled to a 76-47 win over Lasell College on Tuesday.
The Bobcats (3-7) made a team-record 13 3-pointers in the game on 28 attempts (.464) and matched their season high point total.
Bates outscored the host Lasers (7-5) in each quarter, beginning with an 18-7 lead after the first. Davenport and Brunswick’s Lyse Henshaw, who had five points, each hit a trey each in the early run.
Bates opens NESCAC play this weekend at rivals Colby and Bowdoin, beginning Friday at 7 p.m. at Waterville.
