The pedestrian bridge over the Presumpscot River in downtown Westbrook is open for foot traffic this week and months of construction on the crossing and the new Bridge Street bridge is nearing an end. Crews on Tuesday were still working on the sidewalks surrounding the entrances to the bridge, but pedestrians were already making use of it.
