I’m writing in support of Madeline Mooney Brown for the Ogunquit Selectboard. Her candidacy comes at a perfect time.

Ogunquit is in the midst of a nationwide search for a new town manager, and a new face on the Selectboard helps in the effort of the town to make a fresh start.

Ogunquit demonstrated its desire for new beginnings when the townspeople voted for term limits at the last town meeting in November. This vote was a move by the voters to encourage new people to participate on the various boards in town.

Madeline is just the person to begin the effort to do just that. Her extensive and varied work experience in managerial positions, including 25 years in tech and internet consumer companies in both large corporations and small startups, demonstrates her ability to see the big picture while interacting with people to achieve successful results.

Being able to listen and consider new ideas and worries in an approachable way encourages people to join the discussion. This is what Madeline plans to do because she knows that open, honest and transparent dialogue will lead to more community participation.

Please consider voting for Madeline Mooney Brown for Selectboard of Ogunquit. Change is a positive thing!
