SACO — Jeannette Larose, 99, of Saco died Thursday, June 1, 2017, at her home.

She was born Nov. 24, 1917, in Biddeford, a daughter of Edmond and Roseanna (Gagne) Lehouillier and was educated in local schools.

On Nov. 25, 1939, she married Ubald Larose in St. Andre’s church in Biddeford.

She and her husband wintered in Bradenton, Floriday, at the Eagles Village for many years; she had a cottage in Bridgeton where she enjoyed the company of the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jeannette kept a manicured lawn and would wage war on each crop of dandelions. She enjoyed dancing, and was a member of the “Rockettes,” a local line dancing group; she kept dancing as long as she was able.

Jeannette was preceded in death by: Ubald, her husband of 43 years, on June 22, 1983; a sister, Muriel Talbot in 1954; a brother, Emile “Ben” Lehouillier on May 8, 2014; and a granddaughter, Judy Larose on July 21, 1986.

She is survived by: two sons, Raymond Larose and his wife, Constance, of Ellington, Connecticut, and Richard Larose and his wife, Priscilla, of Bridgton; one daughter, Claire Pelletier of Naples; one sister, Rachel Roy of Sanford; nine grandchildren;19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St.t, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Most Holy Trinity Church, 271 Main St., Saco, ME 04072. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
