TUCSON, Ariz. – Mr. Richard David Bernier passed away on Jan. 7 2021 in Tucson, Ariz. from complications of the coronavirus. He was born on Sept. 9 1943 in Sanford, the son of Raymond and Hope (Knox) Bernier. He was married to Vickie (Metzger) Bernier. He joined the Air Force in 1961 right after graduating from Sanford High. He retire from the service after serving 23 years.He was active with the Shriners, VFW and the Elks, all of Tucson, Ariz.Survived are his first wife, Marguerite Roger Bernier and second wife, Vicky Bernier; brothers, Raymond of Phoenix, Michael and Mark of Sanford, sister, Linda Chesley of Sanford; sisters-in-law, Sharon Cardoza of Florida, Pat Bernier of Springvale and brother-in-law, Ken Jubinville of Tucson, Ariz.; many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by Donald, Robert, and a sister, Donna Jubinville.He was buried at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery in Tucson. Ariz. with military honors.
