Carolyn M. Cook

SCARBOROUGH – Carolyn M. Cook, 78 passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 6, 2021 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

She was born and raised in Bath and settled in greater Portland where she raised her five children. Carolyn worked for J. Weston Walch Publisher and The Cedars Portland.

She was a kind, caring, beautiful woman who was loved by all who met her. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. When she was young, she enjoyed dancing and singing, she had a wonderful voice.

In her retirement she enjoyed watching lifetime movies, her soaps and doing word searches. She loved animals, especially her two dogs, that were her companions, Prince and Duke.

She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Viola Radley; sisters, June Bryant, Josephine Lunt, Nancy Radley and brother, Kenneth Radley Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Viola Holman of Massachusetts; her children, Tina DiCenso and husband Timothy, Anita McDonough and husband Michael, Terri Anderson, all from South Portland, and Allen Bradford Jr. and wife Whitney of Falmouth, Maxine Beck and husband John of Westbrook; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Duke.

The family would like to thank all her providers for her continued care.

A celebration of life will be held sometime in the spring.
