Michael C. Kane

BIDDEFORD – Michael C. Kane passed away April 9, 2021 at The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after his fight with cancer.

Michael was the youngest of four siblings and the son of Helen (Flaherty) Kane and James Kane. Michael was born in Portland and grew up in South Portland. Michael was born with Cerebral Palsy but that never slowed him down. He was a hard worker and he worked 22 years for the Wentworth School/Scarborough School System where he was a custodian at many schools until he retired. He was well loved and liked by many. He had a favorite saying if he agreed with you that was “YAYAYA”.

The family would like to say a Big Thank You to his dear friend, Donna Obrien, who was his neighbor and was always there for him no matter what. Michael’s dog, Lincoln, will surely miss him.

Michael is survived by his siblings, brother, James F. Kane of Portland, sisters Anne Rousseau and her husband Bob of Hollis and Mary Ross of Dayton; along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at this time. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Maine Cremation Care. To express condolences or participate in Michael’s online tribute, please visit http://www.mainecremationcare.com.
