The Portland Farmers’ Market returns outdoors to Deering Oaks Park this Saturday, after operating through the winter in Stevens Square Community Center.

Portland Farmers’ Market president Caitlin Jordan Harriman said the Saturday market will feature 30 vendors, including Petrullo Farms pasta and Hallowell Harvest Farm, two new vendors to the Saturday lineup.

The Maine Senior Farmshare program returns to the market for a second year, providing income-eligible seniors $50 in free vouchers for goods at the market. Seniors can begin signing up for the program in June. The market still offers a 50% match for SNAP and EBT with Maine Harvest Bucks tokens for produce.

The market has partnered with the city for an Earth Day event in the park Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring 25 local environmental organizations, live music, food trucks and themed activities.

“I hope people come out and support the market,” Harriman said. “I know funds are tight for everybody, but if you want to continue to see farms in our communities, we need to support them.”
