A 20-year-old paddleboarder who went missing on Graham Lake in Ellsworth was found dead Friday evening.
Grayson Mote, who lived in Ellsworth, had gone out on May 5. At the time, authorities said the man had left his family camp on a paddleboard without a life jacket.
Several agencies, including the Maine Warden Service, Maine Marine Patrol, police and other first responders conducted “intensive water and air search” in the days after he was reported missing.
On Friday evening, one of Mote’s family members found his body about 0.2 miles from the shore of Graham Lake, according to the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. His body was taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta.
