Brunswick business owners plan to use downtown sidewalks for outdoor dining, nix plan to block parking
According to Debora King, executive director of the Brunswick Downtown Association, it was “loud and clear” from business owners that while they were interested in using the extra space available on Brunswick’s sidewalks, they were not interested in blocking any parking spaces to do so.

Brunswick looking at options to expand outdoor dining this summer
A proposal, still in the early stages, would block a handful of parking spaces on Maine Street, creating a pedestrian walkway that would allow restaurants and retailers to spread out more on the sidewalk and maintain social distancing measures.

Local businesses ‘reeling’ after Bowdoin College announces students won’t return to campus this semester
Deb King, executive director of the Brunswick Downtown Association, cautioned not to “let fear overcome common sense” when it comes to the coronavirus. “I’m sure everyone wants to return to a business-as-usual approach, but we can’t ignore what’s going on,” she said.
