Chef Cara Stadler plans a new restaurant in downtown Portland

Lio, which will focus on wine as much as food, is scheduled to open next summer.

The owners said they are searching for a new space in Portland so they can re-open the quick-service sandwich shop.

The new restaurant, located in the old Figa space, will serve healthful options for breakfast and lunch.

The new restaurant is owned by New York chef Rebecca Charles.

Eventide Oyster Co. in Portland and the Oxford House Inn in Fryeburg are named some of the best restaurants around.

Some 60 employees lose their jobs, but a company spokesman says they will be offered employment at one of its other restaurants in the area.

Proper Charlie’s will open in November and serve high-end spirits.
