BRUNSWICK – Cathleen Smith scored two goals as the Bowdoin field hockey team remained unbeaten with a 6-0 victory over Hamilton on Saturday.

Ella Curren, Elizabeth Clegg, Kate Riley and Pam Herter each scored in the second half for the Polar Bears (10-0, 7-0 NESCAC)

Victoria Trentini made 31 saves for Hamilton (5-5, 3-4).

AMHERST 4, COLBY 1: Katie McMahon scored two goals with one assist as the Jeffs (9-1, 6-1 NESCAC) cruised past the Mules (2-8, 0-7) at Waterville.

MAINE 6, FAIRFIELD 1: Holly Stewart scored three goals and Kelly Newton added two to lead the Black Bears (13-2, 2-1 America East) past the Stags (8-6, 0-3) at Fairfield, Conn.

ENDICOTT 5, UNE 0: Hannah Thornberg and Melissa Enright chipped in two goals apiece as the Gulls (6-8, 5-1 Commonwealth Coast) beat the Nor’easters (13-1, 5-1) at Wenham, Mass.

Kaitlyn Warren made four saves for UNE.

ST. JOSEPH’S 4, LASELL 0: Sarah Bartell, Amanda Sebastiao, Renee Leach and Olivia Tourangeau each had a goal as the Monks (9-3, 7-0 NAC) scored four times in the second half to pull away from the Lasers (3-11, 1-7) at Newton, Mass.

Rachelle Messuri, Melanie Allen and Tara Cowin each had an assist.

CONN. COLLEGE 3, BATES 0: Lauren Gaffney and Brittany Fitzgerald each scored first-half goals as the Camels (6-5, 2-5 NESCAC) cruised to a victory over the Bobcats (3-8, 1-6) at New London, Conn.

USM 3, FRAMINGHAM STATE 1: Bethany Bougie had a goal and two assists to lead the host Huskies (7-9, 4-4 Little East) over the Rams (4-10, 1-7).

BATES 1, CONN. COLLEGE 0: Tina Tobin scored on an assist from Camille Smith in the 64th minute and Annie Burns made four saves for the shutout as the Bobcats (4-4-2,1-4-2 NESCAC) edged the Camels (4-6-1, 1-5-1) at New London, Conn.

BOWDOIN 2, HAMILTON 0: Ellery Gould and Toni DaCampo scored goals just two minutes apart early in the second half and Maddie Lane stopped all eight shots to lift the Polar Bears (5-3-3, 1-3-3 NESCAC) to a win over the Continentals (6-6, 4-4) at Brunswick.

USM 1, UMASS-DARTMOUTH 1: Kat Rothe had 15 saves for the Huskies (2-10-1, 0-4-1 LEC) to help tie the Corsairs (7-7-2, 2-2-1) at Gorham.

AMHERST 5, COLBY 1: Sarah Duffy had two goals as the Jeffs (10-0, 7-0 NESCAC) beat the host Mules (5-5-1, 1-5-1).

ST. JOSEPH’S 1, LASELL 0: Kim Jordan scored off Doe Leckie’s rebound in the 67th minute to give the Monks (6-4-3, 5-3-3 GNAC) a win against the Lasers (11-3-1, 10-1) at Newton, Mass.

UNITY 3, SMCC 2: Kristy Manuel scored five minutes into overtime as Unity (7-3) beat the Seawolves (5-5) at South Portland.

LASELL 3, ST. JOSEPH’S 2: Mike Sanfilippo and Zach Johnson each scored a goal for the Monks (9-5, 5-3 GNAC) in a loss to the Lasers (8-3-3, 4-2-2) at Newton, Mass.
