Commuters who use Franklin Arterial inbound between Congress and Middle streets will face a detour Friday morning.
That section of the busy road will be closed to accommodate work on the Police Department, according to a city spokeswoman.
Inbound traffic will be detoured down Congress onto Pearl Street and back to Middle between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
