PORTLAND — The Portland Sea Dogs hit four home runs to rally from a 6-2 deficit and beat the New Britain Rock Cats 10-6 this afternoon at Hadlock Field.

The Rock Cats got to touted Sea Dogs starter Casey Kelly for six runs on 10 hits. But that was all for New Britain. Tommy Hottovy (3-0) pitched three scoreless innings in relief.

Portland rallied in the seventh inning with six runs on homers by Nate Spears, Anthony Rizzo and Yamaico Navarro. Luis Exposito hit a two-run homer in the eighth for insurance.

The Sea Dogs go on the road and will be back at Hadlock Field Friday at 6 p.m.
