The Maine Games will hold six events today and Sunday. First today is the cross country championship at Medomak Valley High in Waldoboro. The race is 3.2 miles along the school’s new nature trail. A mile run will be offered for children 14 and under. An all-terrain wheelchair division will race at 8:30 a.m., followed by runners at 9. Registration begins at 8.

Fencing and table tennis championships will be held at 10 a.m. at the Armory at 65 Central Avenue in Lewiston, with registration at 9.

Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland will host the adult/open field hockey championship and the interscholastic field hockey championship at 10 a.m. Sunday.

A summer youth field day will be held Sunday at the Sportsmen’s Association clubhouse on Route 209 in Phippsburg. Registration is from 7 to 7:30 a.m. For more information, consult the Phippsburg Sportsmen’s Association website or contact Dana McLean at 442-8220.
