RANGELEY — A Maine ski resort is offering people free tours to watch moose in the towns of Rangeley and Stratton.

Saddleback Ski Resort’s Kara Wilson says the twice-a-week tours have been seeing record numbers of moose, frequently eight moose each night.

The Monday and Thursday tours are on the resort’s shuttle.

Wilson tells the Sun Journal newspaper the tour follows Maine Route 16, known locally as “moose alley,” between Rangeley and the Eustis-Stratton area.
