Triple-header for art lovers in Rockport

THROUGH SEPT. 25, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport is featuring a triple-header of solo exhibitions: Will Barnet, Yvonne Jacquette and Dozier Bell. Barnet, 99, is showing five decades of prints, including a collection of abstract prints from the 1950s and ’60s.
WHEN: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays; 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Through Sept. 25.

Midcoast galleries gear up for ArtWalk
SEVERAL GALLERIES open new shows with the 2nd Friday ArtWalk in Brunswick and Topsham. Maine FiberArts opens Sarah Haskell’s “Thread by Thread: Woven Works.” The Frontier Cafe opens a photography show by Syd Alberg and Paula Lerner, and the Coleman Burke gallery busts out with “Salt Water Farm: A Collaborative.”
