WINDHAM – Sadie Lyons scored two goals Wednesday night to lead Cheverus to a 2-0 victory against Windham in a Southern Maine Activities Association girls’ soccer game.

Darby Rawcliffe assisted on the first goal for the Stags (5-2-1). Mikayla Mayberry stopped six shots for the win.

Amber Verrill made 16 saves for Windham (4-2-2).

BIDDEFORD 2, PORTLAND 0: Brooke Thompson scored twice in the final 20 minutes and Adrienne Bowie finished with eight saves to lead Biddeford (2-7) past the Bulldogs (0-9) at Portland.

Esta Harman stopped five shots for Portland. 

MARSHWOOD 0, MASSABESIC 0: Tatum Schladenhauffen made 13 saves for Marshwood (4-4-1) and Taylor Kirker had 12 for Massabesic (0-7-1) at Waterboro.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 5, MARANACOOK 1: Alanna Vose had two goals to lead the Panthers (7-2) over the Black Bears (5-4-1) at Waldoboro. 

SACOPEE VALLEY 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Emily Lane had five goals to lead the Hawks (6-1-1) over the Rangers (1-6) at South Hiram.

Kara Singleton added a goal and an assist, and Maeve Downey and Amber Day each finished with two assists.

Courtney Ross made eight saves for the Hawks. Eileen Macomber stopped 12 shots for Traip. 

SANFORD 4, WESTBROOK 2: Marissa Duncan had two goals as the Redskins (6-1-1) defeated the Blue Blazes (2-7) at Sanford.

Katelyn Fink and Taylor Flood also scored, and Nicole Bordeau, Sam Bryan, Ali Legere and Taylor Littlefield had assists.

Lauren Blais and Lindsay Driscoll scored for Westbrook.

Kellie Tovey made six saves for Sanford. Ashley Richards stopped eight shots for the Blue Blazes. 

SCARBOROUGH 2, KENNEBUNK 0: Sarah Little and Emily Tolman scored first-half goals, and Jill Deering made five saves as the Red Storm (8-0) stopped the Rams (3-5-1) at Scarborough.

Margaux LeBlanc stopped 13 shots for Kennebunk.

BOYS’ SOCCER

PORTLAND 7, BIDDEFORD 1: Alain Tuyishime scored three goals to lead Portland (6-1-1) over the Tigers (0-8) at Biddeford.

Ralph Houanche, Tim Rovnak, Oryem Charles and Tony Yekeh also scored for the Bulldogs, who led 5-0 at halftime.

Mike Lachance converted a penalty kick for the Tigers. 

CHEVERUS 3, WINDHAM 1: Nick Melville had two goals and an assist, and Elliot Maker added a goal and an assist as the Stags (5-2-1) downed the Eagles (5-2-1) at Portland.

Peter Pothoff made seven saves for Cheverus.

Dalton Maura scored with about five minutes left and Benjamin Noble made seven saves for Windham. 

LAKE REGION 3, WELLS 1: Jared Black, Robert Davis-White and Morgan Brown scored for the Lakers (2-6-1) against the Warriors (0-9) at Naples.

Dakota Bush stopped three shots for Lake Region.

Doug Darling scored, and Tyler Lamb and Sam Lapointe combined for six saves for Wells. 

SACOPEE VALLEY 2, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Kyle Martineau scored both goals and Mitchell Barton made 14 saves for the Hawks (5-2-2) against Traip Academy (1-7-1) at Kittery.

Martineau got the only goal of the first half and scored 40 seconds into the second.

Cole Kuehl scored and Christian Montembeau stopped six shots for Traip.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 10, POLAND 0: Bailey Frost had four goals and two assists to pace the Raiders (8-2) against Poland (0-10) at Fryeburg.

Bethany Bennett and Christina DiPietro each added a goal and an assist.

Melora Lavoie made 46 saves for the Knights. 

GREELY 2, LAKE REGION 1: Ceci Hodgkins scored goals two minutes apart in the second half as the Rangers (8-3) edged the Lakers (3-7-1) at Naples.

Eliza Porter had an assist, and goalies Maggie Bower and Hannah McCord each played a half and made two saves for Greely.

Chelcie Murch scored and Shannon Van Loan made five saves for the Lakers.

LAWRENCE 2, MT. ARARAT 1: Danielle Spaulding and Jess Bellefleur scored as the Bulldogs (5-3-1) took a 2-0 lead and held off the Eagles (4-6) at Fairfield.

MASSABESIC 2, THORNTON ACADEMY 1: Taylor Bergeron scored the winner with 12:35 left for the Mustangs (6-3) against the Golden Trojans (5-3-1) at Waterboro.

Nikki Kent also scored in the second half for Massabesic. Katie Campisi scored from Katrina Thibodeau in the first half for Thornton.

Courtney Piccone made six saves for the win. Abbey Saulinski stopped six shots for Thornton. 

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 9, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Katherine Millett had four goals and an assist as the Panthers (10-1) routed the Rangers (2-9) at Yarmouth.

Meg Fortier added two goals and an assist, and Katie Cawley and Hannah Hearn each finished with a goal and an assist. Rozi Smith also scored.

SACOPEE VALLEY 2, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Justine Ruhlin scored in each half for the Hawks (8-3) against the Seagulls (3-7) at South Hiram.

Ruhlin scored unassisted in the first half; her second goal was assisted by Danielle Pierce. 

WAYNFLETE 5, FREEPORT 4: Roz Gray-Bauer scored in overtime to lift the Flyers (4-4-1) over the Falcons (6-5) at Portland.

Lindsey Sinicki, Annie Vogt, Nyanen Deng and Alida Farrell also scored for the Flyers.

Mia Thomas had three goals for the Falcons, her last with 20 seconds left in regulation to make it 4-4. Jenny Breau had Freeport’s other goal. 

FALMOUTH 2, WELLS 1: Catherine Hebson scored unassisted in the second half as the Yachtsmen (4-6) held off the Warriors (7-4) at Wells.

Courtney Proctor scored in the first half and Kelsey Freedman made four saves for Falmouth. Sabrina Link had the goal and Amber Ridgon stopped four shots for Wells. 

YORK 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Shelby Spencer scored twice and Hannah Keating scored on a penalty stroke as the Wildcats (9-1) downed the Capers (6-4-1) at York.

Amanda Kasbohm made three saves for York; Julianne Ayers had nine saves for Cape Elizabeth.
