LEWISTON — Lewiston firefighters say six people were forced from their home by an early morning blaze in a local apartment building.
There were no injuries from the fire.
The Pine Street fire was reported early this morning and the Lewiston Fire Department called in crews from Auburn and Lisbon to help fight the fire.
It took firefighters two hours to bring the fire under control.
Several neighboring apartment buildings were also evacuated and electricity was shut off to the entire neighborhood.
