SANFORD – Ben Wessel pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts, one walk and one hit batter over six innings Tuesday to lead Scarborough to an 11-0 victory against Sanford at Goodall Park.

Joe Cronin went 3 for 4 with two triples, two runs and three RBI for the Red Storm (4-1) against the Redskins (0-5). Wessel added two hits with a triple, two runs and an RBI.

 

BONNY EAGLE 10, NOBLE 0: Matt Wheeler used a double and a single to drive in three runs during a nine-run third inning as the Scots (1-4) cruised past the Knights (1-4) in five innings at Standish.

Wheeler and Nate Peasley each finished with three hits for the Scots. Peasley added a two-run single in the third.

Cam McKague of Bonny Eagle pitched a two-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks.

DEERING 5, MASSABESIC 0: Nick DiBiase pitched a two-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks as the Rams (4-1) beat the Mustangs (0-5) at Waterboro.

DiBiase also hit an RBI double, and Jamie Ross finished with four hits, two RBI and a run.

Hunter Duncan had a double for Massabesic.

 

BIDDEFORD 12, CHEVERUS 1: Taylor Reuillard had three hits as the Tigers (4-1) beat the Stags (4-1) in five innings at Biddeford.

The Tigers broke it open with a nine-run third. Patrick Wilson hit a three-run homer and a two-run double, and Reuillard added a two-run homer in the rally.

Tyler Audie of Biddeford allowed four hits, one earned run and struck out eight.

Nick Melville had two hits for Cheverus.

 

WINDHAM 8, KENNEBUNK 1: Nick Emmons carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Windham (2-3) rallied for six runs and beat the Rams (0-5) at Kennebunk.

In the sixth, Johnny Weymouth hit a two-run single, Cody Dube and Cody Laberge had RBI singles, and Drew Gagnon added a sacrifice fly.

Dube, who was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts, and Laberge each had two hits.

Tom Snow had two hits for the Rams.

 

THORNTON ACADEMY 8, MARSHWOOD 5: Sam Canales and Jack Kenney each had two hits and two RBI for the Golden Trojans (3-2), who took a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning and beat the Hawks (4-1) at South Berwick.

Jon Dupee chipped in a solo homer for Thornton, which tacked on four in the fifth to go up 8-1.

Matt Brenner was 3 for 3 with a double and two RBI for Marshwood.

BOYS’ LACROSSE

FALMOUTH 14, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2: Willy Sipperly had five goals and Mitch Tapley added four as the Yachtsmen (4-0) handled the Panthers (2-2) at Falmouth.

Tim Millett scored both goals for NYA.

 

PORTLAND 9, LEWISTON 8: Seamus Kilbride scored from Caleb Kenney after 57 seconds of overtime to lift the Bulldogs (4-0) over the Blue Devils (3-1) at Portland.

Kilbride, Kenney and Bronson Guimond each had three goals; Kenney finished with three assists.

Sam Cloutier of Lewiston made it 8-8 with 5.4 seconds left in regulation. Curtis Robinson had three goals, and Elliott Chicoine and Cloutier chipped in two apiece.

 

WAYNFLETE 9, GREELY 8: Zander Majercik had three goals and an assist as the Flyers (3-1) edged the Rangers (1-2) at Portland.

Chris Burke and Henry Cleaves each added two goals and combined for three assists. Will Hallett made 12 saves.

Austin Spencer had three goals and Nick Robinson finished with two for Greely.

KENNEBUNK 9, MASSABESIC 5: Sean Finn had three goals and three assists to lead the Rams (2-2) over the Mustangs (3-1) at Kennebunk.

Clayton Spang, who won 13 of 17 faceoffs, and Sean Foley each had two goals, Max Meserve and Nick Ames also scored, and Bobby Kramer added two assists for Kennebunk.

Brandon Colby had two goals, and Ian Wyman, Allan Roy and Steven Chaves also scored for Massabesic.

MT. ARARAT 12, GARDINER 3: Haley Michaud scored four goals to pace the Eagles (3-1) against the Tigers (2-3) at Gardiner.

WAYNFLETE 18, FREEPORT 3: Sadie Cole scored five goals, and Liv Chap and Scout Haffenreffer added three goals apiece as the Flyers (2-1) cruised past the Falcons (2-2) at Freeport.

Jocelyn Davee, Aubrey Pennell and Jess Hench scored for Freeport.

 

MORSE 19, LINCOLN ACADEMY 6: Lindsay Watts had five goals and one assist, and Tori Field added four goals to lead the Shipbuilders (3-1) over the Eagles (1-3) at Bath.

 

FALMOUTH 17, YORK 7: Laura Fay collected four goals and four assists to lead the Yachtsmen (3-1) past the Wildcats (1-2) at York.

Alex Bernier added four goals and two assists for Falmouth, which led 13-4 at halftime.

 

GREELY 13, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 12: Audrey Parolin scored her fifth goal of the game with 55 seconds left in the second overtime to lift the Rangers (2-2) over the Panthers (2-2) at Cumberland.

NYA led throughout until Meg Finlay scored late in regulation to tie it.

SOFTBALL

WELLS 14, POLAND 7: Meghan Lewia went 4 for 4 with a double, a triple, four RBI and three runs as the Warriors (3-2), who scored 12 runs in the first three innings, cruised past the Knights (1-6) at Wells.

Lauren Bame added four hits and three RBI, and Jill Sledzieski finished with three hits, including two doubles, four RBI and three runs for Wells.

 

YORK 14, TRAIP ACADEMY 5: Carly Johnson was 3 for 4 with five RBI, and Raegan Heck was 3 for 5 with a triple and four RBI to lead the Wildcats (1-4) over the Rangers (0-4) at York.

Kelsey Elsemore chipped in three RBI for York.
