STANDISH — School officials expect Bonny Eagle High School to reopen on Wednesday, following a bomb threat that canceled school today.

“We’re planning that the school will be open,” said Carol Weeks, assistant superintendent for School Administrative District 6.

District officials are at the high school today, working with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

The written bomb threat was discovered inside the school around 11 a.m. Monday. The note indicated that a bomb would go off today. A Maine State Police dog team searched the school on Monday but did not find any explosives. Additional searches are being done today.
