YARMOUTH — Natalie Salmon had four goals and two assists Tuesday to lead Yarmouth to a 13-12 victory against Falmouth in a schoolgirl lacrosse game.

Salmon’s final goal gave the Clippers (7-1) a 13-11 lead with 7:40 left. Alex Bernier scored the final goal for Falmouth (5-3) with 2:22 remaining.

Rebecca Bell also scored four goals and Devin Simsarian added three for Yarmouth.

Bernier had five goals and three assists, and Laura Fay finished with two goals and two assists for Falmouth.

FREEPORT 14, WELLS 11: Jess Hench collected seven goals and an assist to pace the Falcons (5-3) over the Warriors (2-4) at Freeport.

Alexandra Mitch added three goals and Aubrey Pennell scored twice for Freeport.

Jennie Li and Kelly Beisswanger scored four goals apiece for Wells.

Li had three assists and Beisswanger assisted on two goals.

SOUTH PORTLAND 16, MCAULEY 6: Anh Nguyen had four goals, Becca Roberts and Felicia Farnham added three apiece and Kristen Kane made 18 saves as the Red Riots (7-1) handled the Lions (4-4) at Deering High in Portland.

Taxia Arabatsis had three goals and Sadie Dipierro added two for McAuley. 

MORSE 21, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 14: Tori Field collected six goals and an assist, and Lindsay Watts finished with five goals and two assists to lead the Shipbuilders (7-2) over the Falcons (3-6) at Rumford.

Christina Stuart added three goals and an assist for Morse, which led 11-6 at halftime.

Ayla Allen had eight goals and three assists for Mountain Valley.

WAYNFLETE 13, CAPE ELIZABETH 6: Martha Veroneau finished with five goals and Liv Chap aadded four to lead the Flyers (7-1) over the Capers (4-3) at Cape Elizabeth.

Mica Thompson and Sadie Cole added two goals apiece for Waynflete.

Lauren Steidl led Cape Elizabeth with two goals.

Bella Robinson, Abby McInerney, Talley Perkins and Hannah Newhall also scored for the Capers.

MARSHWOOD 5, SOUTH PORTLAND 3: Jack Verrill struck out six and walked four in a two-hitter to lead the Hawks (7-3) over the Red Riots (8-3) at South Berwick.

Marshwood took advantage of five walks and five stolen bases to rally for four runs in the fifth inning.

South Portland took a 3-1 lead in the top of the fifth on RBI singles by Shawn Shannon and Zach Horton.

GREELY 5, YARMOUTH 4: Ben Shain entered in the seventh inning with the bases loaded and one out, then retired the final two batters on a strikeout and a pop up as the Rangers (9-1) held off the Clippers (8-2) at Cumberland.

Mike Leeman walked and scored on a wild pitch in the fifth to give Greely a 5-2 lead.

Leeman started for the Rangers and struck out eight, allowing one earned run in 61/3 innings.

Liam Maker had a pair of hits and drove in a run, and Matt Labbe added an RBI double for Greely.

Luke Pierce had two hits and two RBI for Yarmouth.

ROCKLAND 14, MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 6: Luke Morrill went 3 for 3 with a double and four runs to lead the Tigers (7-3) over the Huskies (0-10) at Rockland.

Justin Snow added a double, a single and three runs for Rockland, which led 10-1 after three innings.

Zach Fortin singled and scored twice for MCI.
