The Western Maine Veterans’ Advisory Committee is holding a golf tournament on Aug. 24 at Fairlawn Golf Course in Poland to benefit the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris. The scramble format tournament will begin at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start. The cost to register for the tournament is $60. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for as low as $50. To register as a player or to sign up as a sponsor, call 744-9156.
