Chili creators sweated over their concoctions and tasters smacked burning lips Saturday at the popular Wells Chili-Fest at Wells Junior High School on Route 1.
Cooks competed in the chili, chili verde and salsa categories Saturday in the Maine State Cook-Off, whose winners will qualify to advance to the world championship competition in Manchester, N.H., Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
