CAPE ELIZABETH – Lake Region High continued its strong start to the Western Class B field hockey season Wednesday, coming away with a 3-1 victory against Cape Elizabeth in a Western Maine Conference game.
Miranda Chadbourne, Alice Sanborn and Chelcie Murch scored the goals for the Lakers (4-2-1).
Cape Elizabeth’s record dropped to 2-4-1.
Jane Coffrin scored and Julianne Ayers stopped five shots for Cape Elizabeth.
Shannon VanLoan saved two shots for Lake Region.
