FRYEBURG – Ellie Jones scored from Christina DiPietro with 2:17 left in the first half, and Fryeburg Academy went on to a 1-0 victory against Cape Elizabeth in a Western Maine Conference field hockey game Saturday.

Julianne Ayres finished with 12 saves for Cape Elizabeth (2-7-1) against the Raiders (10-1), including two on penalty strokes.

MARSHWOOD 2, DEERING 0: Hailey Bruno-Moulton and Melinda Sutton scored second-half goals to lead the Hawks (9-3) past the Rams (1-8-2) at Portland.

Sutton also assisted on the goal by Bruno-Moulton.

Caley Presby finished with 23 saves for Deering.

BELFAST 1, LEAVITT 1: Taylor Eels made six saves for the Hornets (7-3-1), including one on a penalty stroke, to help hold the Lions (8-0-3) to a tie in a rain-shortened game at Turner.

Casey Fichter scored first for Leavitt from Emily Shaw and Adrianna Newton.

Britt Mellor tied it from Maddy Cummings.

The game was called at halftime.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2: Katherine Millett had two goals and an assist to lead the Panthers (7-3) past the Seagulls (2-8) at Yarmouth.

Jamie Crowley scored twice for Old Orchard. She gave the Seagulls the lead midway through the first half before Olivia Mador and Millett answered in the next 3 minutes for the Panthers.

Millett scored again to make it 3-1 with 16 minutes left in the game.

FREEPORT 3, POLAND 1: Korissa Lavers scored twice to lead the Falcons (7-3) past the Knights (0-9-1) at Poland.

Katie Turner added a goal and an assist.

Felicia Baril had the goal for Poland.

Tallie Martin had five saves for Freeport.

Melora Lavoie made 16 saves for Poland.

SCARBOROUGH 2, WINDHAM 0: Meghan Tyson scored late in the first half and Hadlee Yescott added a goal late in the second to lead Scarborough (6-1-2) past the Eagles (5-3) at Windham.

Tyson scored from Haley Carignan with 1:34 remaining in the half to give the Red Storm the lead.

Katie Mader had nine saves for the shutout. Kate Kneeland stopped 17 shots for Windham.

POLAND 5, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Emma Turton scored three goals to help the Knights (3-7) down the Hawks (4-5-1) at Poland.

Jen Powell and Kylie Martin also scored.

Shelly Pellegrino made 10 saves for Sacopee Valley.

SANFORD 6, NOBLE 0: Hannah Kallis scored twice, and Ali Legere added a goal and two assists as Sanford (7-2) shut out visiting Noble (2-5).

Natalie Dionne, Abbi White and Kayla Cote also scored. Kellie Tovey made five saves for the shutout.

LISBON 8, WINTHROP 0: Kayla Angelico had two goals and two assists to lead the Greyhounds (7-2-1) past Winthrop (0-10) at Lisbon Falls.

Brooke Lawrence added two goals and an assist, and Paige Calligan, Olivia Bulgin, Chelsea Houston and Jenna Clifford each scored a goal.

Alexa Harmon made one save for Lisbon.

Lily Beauregard stopped eight shots for Winthrop.
