Kennebunkport Parks and Recreation is offering introductory basketball and HoopStars for children in kindergarten through second grade, and clinics and a recreation league for boys in grades three to six. Registration for the introductory basketball and HoopStars is $30 and must be completed before Friday, Nov. 4.There will also be a Kennebunk Hoops open house and registration for boys and girls from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at Middle School of the Kennebunks. The Maine Elite Girls Basketball Showcase will be held Nov. 6 at Colby College. The event is for girls in grades 9-12 and college coaches will be in attendance. Participants must register in advance. The USM Fall Craft Show will be held at the USM Field House on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the USM men’s and women’s soccer and softball programs.

The Black Bear Elite Hockey Clinic will take place Nov. 13, 20 and 27 at Family Ice Center in Falmouth. Associate University of Maine coach Dan Kerluke will lead the clinic, which is open to all high school-age players. Cost is $225. For more information, visit blackbearhockeycamp.com.
