NEW HIRES

• Jean Huber of Wiscasset joined First Federal Savings as an assistant vice president and loan officer in the bank’s Boothbay Harbor office. Huber was previously with Gardiner Savings, then Bank of Maine as a branch manager, loan officer and financial adviser.

• David MacDonald was named president and chief executive officer of Friends of Acadia. MacDonald was previously director of land protection at the Maine Coast Heritage Trust. He is a lifelong resident of Mount Desert Island.

Justin Coffin joined Macdonald Page & Co. LLC as a tax accountant in their Augusta office. Coffin, of Rockland, had worked as an associate attorney in Rockland.

Monique Gaudet joined iBec Creative as its new interactive coordinator. Gaudet, of Portland, has several years of experience in marketing and project management.

Michael C. Moore joined Bigelow Investment Advisors as vice president of investments. Moore, of Cape Elizabeth, has an extensive career in investment banking and management. He was most recently an endowment investment officer at Bowdoin College.

Brian Beaulieu joined Allen Insurance and Financial, based in the company’s offices on Chestnut Street in Camden. He was previously a financial consultant for Union Trust and worked as a statewide manager of financial services for Prudential Financial.

Audrey Dupuis joined Universal Properties at Keller Williams Realty as a buyer specialist. Dupuis has her real estate license, as well as a license in dental hygiene and dental assisting and works full-time in two long-standing and established dental offices.

Helen LaCount also joined the team as sales manager. She has 14 years experience in the real estate industry.

Kathy Mills was hired as executive director of the Scarborough Land Trust. She was previously with Maine Audubon.

Heather Walker joined Douglas, Denham, Buccina & Ernst as an associate attorney. She had practiced law for 10 years in the Lewiston/Auburn area.

PROMOTIONS

Adam Dunbar was promoted to vice president, investment officer at Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC.

Joann Bisson and Ryan Grund were promoted at Trademark Federal Credit Union.

Bisson was named chief operations officer. She joined the credit union in 2009 as vice president.

Grund was named chief financial officer. He joined the credit union in 2010 as vice president.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

David Pierson was elected chair of the board of directors for the Good Shepherd Food-Bank. Pierson is a shareholder and attorney with Eaton Peabody in the company’s Brunswick office.

Andrew Marianski was elected to the board of directors for the Maine Center for Creativity. Marianski works in the finance department at L.L. Bean. Marianski is also an investor in several privately held businesses, including Skillful Home Recreation in Portland and is a member of the Maine Angels, an investment group providing financial and intellectual capital to early-stage regional businesses.

AWARDS and RECOGNITION

Dennis Sherman, creator of the DennyMike’s line of award-winning sauces and seasonings, earned eight awards at the 2012 National BBQ Association’s Annual Conference, held recently in San Diego.

The Edison Electric Institute presented Central Maine Power Co. with the association’s “Emergency Recovery Award” for its excellence in restoring power to 364,000 customers following Tropical Storm Irene.
