NEW FACES

Putney Inc. has hired the following individuals to its staff:

• Ted Smith was hired as customer service lead. Smith was previously with IDEXX and has more than 14 years of experience in customer service.

• Jean Murphy and Colby Therriault joined Putney as inside sales representatives.

• Jessica Ingram was hired as an accountant, responsible for financial activities and reports. Ingram was previously with Davis & Hodgdon Associates.

• Office operations are managed by Jennifer Albert, office manager; Jessica Morton, operations associate; and Eileen Nugent, administrative assistant.

• Nicole Bland joined Cates Real Estate and will work from its new office on Main Street in Rockland. She has her associate brokers license and has been a full-time agent since April 2008.

• Morgan DiPietro joined Might & Main as a print and interactive designer. DiPietro is a 2011 graduate of the Maine College of Art. She has worked as a designer at Whole Foods and for nationally known pattern designer Angela Adams.

GENERAL

• Woodard & Curran in Portland was ranked among the top 100 U.S. design firms. For the fifth straight year, the firm moved up on industry observer Engineering News-Record’s annual listing of the Top 500 Design Firms, climbing 17 spots in 2012 to 91. The list ranks companies based on revenue for the previous year.

• Pierce Atwood LLP in Portland hired Occupational Medical Consulting to provide personal health coaching and wellness services to its employees.

• Pierce Atwood LLP was named to the National Law Journal’s “Midsize Hot List” — the only New England law firm to be selected for this honor for three consecutive years.

The 2012 Midsize Hot List ranks the top 20 firms across the country that “are good at what they do, but they’re also good at how they do it.” This recognition is awarded annually to firms with 51 to 150 lawyers who have “demonstrated creative strategies to stay competitive.”
