PORTLAND – Brandon Peters had two goals and an assist Thursday to lead Falmouth to a 4-1 victory against Cheverus in a schoolboy hockey game at the Portland Ice Arena.

Hugh Grygiel and Bill Mullin also scored, and Dane Pauls stopped 14 shots for Falmouth (13-2).

Jason Blier made 38 saves and Cameron McLain scored late in the third period for Cheverus (10-5).

PORTLAND 7, WINDHAM-SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Chris Eye scored three goals with three assists to lead the Bulldogs (10-4) over Windham-Sacopee Valley (2-13) at Portland.

Mike Fuller added a goal and four assists, and Zach Luce had two goals and two assists for the Bulldogs, who scored four in the first period.

Stephen Barry scored the other goal unassisted, and Jon Gatti finished with 19 saves for Portland.

Rocco Sbardella scored and Clayton Owens stopped 27 shots for Windham-Sacopee Valley.

KENNEBUNK 9, WESTBROOK 1: Nine players scored and James Ross stopped 19 shots as the Rams (6-10) handled the Blue Blazes (3-13) at the University of New England at Biddeford.

Ross, who had only played one junior varsity game as a goalie prior to his start, was a last-minute substitute after Kennebunk’s regular goalie was scratched.

Ryan Keefe had a goal and two assists for Kennebunk.

Jake Coro had the goal, and Ricky Henward and Alex LeBlanc combined for 38 saves for Westbrook.
