Massachusetts author Maryanne O’Hara will talk about and read from her novel “Cascade.” The book, set in 1935 in the town of Cascade, Mass., focuses on Desdemona Hart Spaulding, winner of a prestigious art prize, who has “traded in her dreams … to put a roof over her newly bankrupt, ailing father’s head.” O’Hara’s talk is part of the library’s Brown Bag Lecture Series, so people are invited to bring their lunch.
