NEW YORK – Lake Region sophomore Kate Hall established a Maine all-time best mark in indoor track for the second straight day at the New Balance indoor nationals, leaping 18 feet, 6½ inches in the long jump Saturday on her way to a seventh-place finish.
Hall broke her own mark of 18-5¾ set last week at the New England championships. On Friday, she ran a state-best time of 24.81 seconds in the 200 meters.
Edward Little freshman Spencer Dunn finished fifth in the boys’ mile racewalk with a time of 7 minutes, 36.55 seconds.
A/B BOYS: Aaron Todd of York scored 20 points to led the West to a 112-89 victory over the East in the Maine McDonald’s Class A/B senior all-star game at Husson University in Bangor.
Todd was complemented by Deering’s Labson Abwoch with 15 points. Leading the East were Tyler Brooks of Presque Isle with 18 points and Kyle Boucher of Maranacook with 17.
A/B GIRLS: Jordan Knowlton of Camden Hills scored 22 points and Presque Isle’s Chandler Guerrette added 20 as the East rolled to a 119-67 victory.
Emily Campbell of York scored 15 for the West. Falmouth’s Anna Hickey finished with 13.
C/D BOYS: Garet Beal of Jonesport-Beals, the reigning Mr. Maine Basketball, scored 35 points and the East closed with an 18-5 run to beat the West, 113-100.
Mitchell Worcester of Washburn added 25 points, including five 3-pointers.
Leading the West was Atencio Martin of Traip Academy with 25 points and Carrington Miller of Valley with 18.
C/D GIRLS: Lacey McQuarrie of Hodgdon and Jillian Woodward of Orono led the way with 13 points apiece as the East earned a 74-70 win.
Jamie Plummer of Richmond scored 15 points for the West, followed by Sarah Caron of Boothbay Region and Miranda Smith of Mt. Abram with 12 points each.
