I read in the May 3 Press Herald: “Boehner to create special panel on Benghazi.” This unfortunate event in American diplomacy occurred more than two years ago, and Mr. Boehner is still fixated on it!
He wasted taxpayers’ money on more than 50 attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, knowing at the outset that the law would be implemented anyway. Now he is proposing to do the same with a panel on Benghazi.
I would prefer to spend my tax dollars on psychiatrists to address his and his fellow Republicans’ fixations than on what he is proposing. A do-nothing Congress is an insult to Americans’ intelligence. Let’s spend our taxes to help them in ways that will benefit them and us!
