I agree with letter writer Kathryn Pluto (“Stop making excuses for sleepy students,” Sept. 4) regarding changing school hours to start later in the morning.
This would not be a good idea. Do we want our children traveling over icy roads (which we do have in winter months) in the 5 p.m. traffic, which can be very heavy at times? Let’s keep our school hours in the early part of the day and keep our children safe.
